So you’ve discovered Drop’pin@EURES and all the great features it has to offer. But how can you get the most out of these features? We’ve got you covered!

Create an account

If you haven’t already got a EURES account, this is the obvious first step. Devote a few minutes of your time to filling out the simple online form and you’ll get access to the full range of Drop’pin@EURES’s opportunities in return.

Import or create your CV online

You’ve got two options when it comes to your CV: importing an existing one in the Europass format or creating one from scratch within the EURES system. If you choose the second option then it’s just a case of choosing the language you want to work in and completing the 10-step process. Your CV will then be added to the EURES CV database, where potential employees can review your skills, experience and talents. You can edit your CV at any time, even after it’s been published on the database, and there are also privacy settings that allow you to choose what information you’d like these potential employers to be able to see.

Define a job/opportunity search criteria

This feature is all about making your search for new opportunities as easy as possible. You can create specific search profiles where you can define criteria such as location, contract duration and contract type. Save the profile and then the next time you visit Drop’pin@EURES you can run your search again at the click of a button.

Apply for opportunities

Once you’ve found an opportunity that interests you, it’s time to apply. You can find out how to do this under the ‘how to apply’ section of each opportunity, which will often take you to the company or organisation’s website. Each application process will be different, so make sure you focus in on what the requirements are to give yourself the best chance of success.

Keep an eye on the EURES Event Calendar

The EURES Event Calendar shows you what events are coming up in Europe, such as job fairs and European Job Days (online and onsite). As job-related events are a great way of making connections, networking and discovering new opportunities, it can be a good idea to check-in with the calendar regularly to see what events are taking place in your fields of interest and find out how you can get involved.
