Reactivate targets unemployed and long-term unemployed jobseekers, but it’s also open to people who are looking for a career change in a new country, regardless of their education levels and previous work experience.
The scheme is an extension of the Your First EURES Job programme, the intra-EU job mobility scheme for 18- to 35-year-olds and employers. Rather than focusing on young workers, Reactivate is aimed at those aged 35 or over who are willing to move to another EU Member State for a job, traineeship or apprenticeship opportunity.
The scheme offers tailored support throughout the recruitment and matching process, including financial support to cope with the costs incurred with language training, recognition of qualifications or the costs of moving abroad, including family relocation.
As well as individuals, Reactivate can also help employers, particularly entrepreneurs running small and medium-sized enterprises. They can get help to find workers from other countries for hard-to-fill vacancies, and can contact the Reactivate services for support with managing job offers and matching vacancies to EU candidates. There is also financial support available for SMEs preparing induction programmes for their newly recruited workers.

The scheme is open to jobseekers and employers of all EU Member States. Direct services may not be available in all EU countries, but the Reactivate employment services can help jobseekers and employers from any EU Member State.
