In collaboration with EURES, Actiris International provides specialised support to companies abroad interested in recruiting jobseekers from Brussels. Actiris International provides high-quality support to employers offering job opportunities or traineeships.
Early in 2016, it developed a new service specially tailored for international employers recruiting abroad: Select International. Just like a placement agency, it takes care of shortlisting qualified candidates in Brussels, targeted to overseas employers’ needs. It offers a free and customised service, with a specific adviser dedicated to the project.
Actiris International can also organise a specialised job day if there are more than six vacancies. Job offers are published on the Actiris website and EURES portal, and advisers take a proactive approach by inviting potential candidates identified in their internal database.
For employers based in Brussels and confronted with shortages, Actiris International offers an Incoming service, through which it can provide a shortlist of qualified candidates within the EU.
“The main assets of Brussels candidates to international mobility are their knowledge of foreign languages, from English to Polish, and their openness to work and live abroad,” says Jessica Mathy, head of the International Employment Unit within Actiris.
This specialised department – part of the EURES network – offers customised, step-by-step support to companies, from clarifying a job ad to pre-selecting appropriate candidates. Actiris International takes care of pre-selection and screening of potential candidates, and pledges to present the chosen candidates to the employer within three weeks.
Actiris International Mobility Advisers are also EURES Advisers, and they are specialised in international recruitment. Through the network they can share job vacancies with colleagues across the 30 affiliated countries.
“We collaborate with a lot of based-abroad companies, from SMEs to multinationals, including in the non-profit sector,” says Jessica. “The countries and sectors we work with are varied. We have placed customer care specialists in Bulgaria, within the company Euroccor, a technical support adviser in Ireland for Apple, business developers in the UK for EnergyFrance, a project manager for Sogerom in Luxembourg, an HR assistant within Bimbamjob in France, and so on.”
